I think tht was the dumbest thing he ever did, cause sophia and him were made for eachother.
My reason for them to get together in the end is he always sed she was the 1 for him and he made that shot blind folded (sorry if splt it wrong). He never told peyton that and in season 5 they both sed they loved each other. There is still love between them even if they dont get together.
